I happen to have an albatross and a non-bullmoose bosco bar, along with
several different stems, sitting with my un-finished clem at the moment. I
could take snapshots with both bars together, and take some measurements of
the distance between clamp locations if it helps. I've been experiment

Hi,
I'm also 5'7" and nearly 81 PBH. I have a 48cm Hunqapillar and 56cm AHH.
I love them both! I, too, have been looking at the Jones+. Maybe a future
bday present. (Glad I haven't called yet!)
The Hunqapillar serves great duty as a kid hauler and grocery getter. It is

My Zefal, Impero, Lezenes, Specialized, and Blackburn pumps all have worked
fine for years on such unthreaded Presta stems.

I can't help you, as my daughters inflated theirs without incident. Our
shop pump is as a Blackburn Air Tower 1 (which has been replaced under the
lifetime warranty a few times, great customer service!). But I also checked
their valve stem and it is the usual threaded I"m used to seeing, so not
Hello All,
My wife's Clementine needed a screw replaced, that required removing the
rear wheel, that required letting out the air from the tire. So fine,
everything goes well, remount the wheel and then ... The tube's stem is
probably the latest and greatest, but I've never seen it before. The

I realize that is not a ringing endorsement for the hunq, the bike is fine, the

Yeah I figure it's a long shot, I almost never see used ones pop up ;)
I got a Jones Plus. I kept crashing on the hunq and looking for a more stable,
confident ride on technical single track. Was smitten with all the words on the
internet around the jones and after calling and talking to Jeff I
Good luck tracking down a used AHH, I think you would really enjoy one.
Sort of OT but I am curious what has replaced your Hunqapillar as your main
off road ride and what motivated the change. Could you elaborate?

I don't have an AHH to trade, and I couldn't currently afford to buy a Hunq,
but could you post some picks so I can drool anyway?

My sense of things exactly, though of course rider + bike weight will very
much affect the judgment. Personally, I am delighted at how well the ~28 mm
Compass Elk Pass ELs perform on our acquia roads, as long as the very silty
surfaces are somewhat packed down, as ithey tend to be in cold
weather.
Oooh. That's a cool bike. That would be a cool bikepacking machine.
Honestly, though, I use the 2.1" Nanos on my mountain bike and they are
fine for almost 85% of my riding. I went for a 3 hour ride a week ago in
the snow, slush, and fire roads of my area, and they did fine. 3" seems (to

I have a year and a half old green Hunqapillar, 48cm, with a bit

My rig is missing exactly one little top load for camping this year. The

I also have that new stainless soma porteur rack and a used tiagra 10 speed set

Have you considered the Furious Fred? It's made in 26" and 29er and is
supposed to be extremely fast rolling. I've heard that Schwalbe's warnings
of fragility from being a racing tire are overstated and they're actually
OK on durability.
