I read it, but can't quite believe it: Do people really return worn-out
socks to RBW for refunds? I mean, sock fibers hold dirt, dirt is abrasive,
and it stands to reason that socks will eventually "thin out" after some
period. That's just a fact, and it doesn't seem right to demand a refund

Similar to Doug...very often the bike route is the only route I know! I don't
have a car, but whenever I ride in one, I feel extremely vulnerable as we get
up to speed and I realize I'm not wearing my helmet!

I've used inverted Albatross bars on a couple of bikes, but they
haven't stayed on for very long. I like the look, and they feel fine,
but moustache bars or dirt drops give you more to work with.

That's really cool. If you can "Dropbox" it, people could probably
have the file printed at a local-to-them photo store or "service

No kidding; the Simple Ones are my favorite current Rivendell besides

that was the prime mover on Quickbeam sales, anyway, especially with

It seems like the larger sizes of QBs go fast on the used market, so maybe
missing out on those is hurting sales (though of course I'm biased, since I

I like the SO, not least because it's the only "budget" ($1k range as opposed
to $2k range) Riv remaining with 1TT in the upper sizes. But the canti brakes
are not what I want on a bike like this. Cable hangers aren't "simple" and

I think it really does depend on what you hope to get out of the bike,
in conjunction with where you weigh in relative to your height. I
think it would be hard to dispute that the average riv bike is a
little overbuilt, and the roadeo is at the lightest weight tubing,

Your mileage must and will vary, maybe, but I found that flipping
tourist-type bars led me to put too much weight on my hands so that my
palms went number very quickly. I imagine that if you find the Moustache
bar comfortable, a flipped Albatross will also be comfortable.

If you're really considering pushing the fat tire advantage, then
maybe you should also think whether the Roadeo is the right bike for
this application. Not dissing the Roadeo-- I have one, I love it, I
ride it all the time-- but if you bought a different Rivendell model
