Coming back to a road-y bike (Herse) with multiple speeds and
freewheel after so many years of nuthin'-but-fixed I must say that
having even a 2X5 drivetrain (the Herse has a 42/32 X 13-28 Ultra six,
in fact) is, as the man said in the Four Yorkshiremen sketch,
"Loooxury!". I did an out-and-about r

Two things...
1) Riding fixed is fun and its a great workout - I've been riding the
QB fixed for over a month now.
2) Midge bars are very comfy - I'm loving the short reach and

Dear Friends on the Forum,
We are open Saturday the 28th, but closed Monday, the 30th.
It was Memorial Day 2002 that Mark fired up the Company Grill for the
very first time. We will miss his BBQing, but the last couple of years
have been slow on Memorial Day, so we're going to try closing, and

It's all good. Good luck finding a tall but not too tall guy =)

Hi there!
I have a couple of B17 saddles I'm going to pit up for sale, all I'm
basically like new conditions. I switched to the Berthoud Touring
saddle and find it more comfortable since it's flat on top and like
the shape a bit more as well. With the new stiffener I've had no
twisting at all.

Anyone have a B-17 they'd like to sell or trade for a new Specialized

There's a story there--briefly, they made bags for Rivendell (designed
by Rivendell) but the contract/partnership was dissolved. Duluth
continues to make the bags and sel

I just got a Hunqa w/ a sprung Brooks and can comfortably ride it w/
regular shorts, no padding etc. That being said, on a B-17 et al, try
taking some tension out of it at first and then cranking in the turns
as needed. Conforms to your bones a bit easier. Don't forget the

jeezus, the agony! tls, you still haven't shared with us how you happen to
be in this fortunate position of requiring a second bike, possibly even if
it duplicates what you already own.

Hi!
The Duluth Pack web site's display of bike bags is very disconcerting.
Does anyone else find it odd? They seem to have the candy bar bag
floating or resting on the cable housing. The "hobo"-style bag is
shown as a saddle bag, connected to nothing. And perhaps for good
reason; it looks like it'
Now, *that's* encouraging news! Thanks!
Presuming then that standover might be okay...
If the effective top tube length is only 1.5cm longer than the

Hillborne's 61cm), then I'm confident the Hunqapillar would fit

The bike is still for sale, and everyone who emailed me will get the

Sorry about the delay.
