Greetings,
August 9th I'm riding from Sunnyvale to San Luis Obispo. I'll be
riding a tandem with my 8 yr old boy. The mileage will vary from 40-60
miles per day with stops for waterfalls, animals, volcanic plugs and
other unique sights.
I'm always up for a s24o. I'm flexible as to distance an
Didn't see any discussion on the archives about these tires. Anyone
ridden them? Or the fatty 650Bs from Schwalbe that Riv sells? I'm
anxious to try a fat tire, and would like the Hetre were it not for
the $62 price tag. I realize these Schwalbes may not compare, but I'd
like some input on how
Looks like a great bike, and a fun route.
David,
The rack apears to be a Nitto big front rack from Rivendell.

Robert,
Good luck and have fun!
Question: what is the front rack on your bike? I had issues with mine (Tubus
Nova SS) on my 2008 1,300 miles tour of Quebec, and, planning ahead for 2010,
your setup looks like just what I need...
Thanks,
David

Hey all,
So once again I'm setting off on tour my my trusty Atlantis. Running
about the same setup some of you might remember from my 2007 tour, but
with of course some modifications based on lessons learned and a bit
extra stuff as its a bit longer tour. Anyway I'll be blogging when I

HA!
Nice idea... maybe
Got my cork-flavored Berthoud from Jim at Hiawatha the other day. I
believe they're currently selling their second shipment. Not sure what
they have in stock now, but you might give Jim a shout. Great looking
saddles with some smart touches. Haven't had time to take mine for a
ride yet.

I have a Cork Berthoud on order as well. They look great. Peter
White suggests something to keep the rear bolts secure. Bees wax
might make the most sense.

Thanks, blond it is then! I've always wanted a bike with curly lugs
and brown lether bits but never had the patience to save up for one.
So I couldn't believe my eyes when this unused frame turned up in the
local classifieds at a bargain price. The seller even lowered price
without me asking! If i
