Riv lists the Campy FD "the only Campy thing we carry" so there must be some merit there. As I understand it, the Campy accommodates the combination of seat tube angle & BB height of most Riv designs. Apparently the current crop of Shimano FDs are more specific to chain ring combinations as well.

Perhaps you might benefit more from one of the other lighter frames in the lineup. The Atlantis seems overbuilt in my opinion for a 155 pound rider. I think I'd leave the Atlantis as is with some decent 32-35 mm tires and just take off the racks if you don't use them. To me it seems like its tryi
