Guys,
I noticed a couple of years back someone asked for
the ability to check a users shell for authentication.
I am migrating from Merit and as such I have used
what shell the customer had in the passwd file to lock them out if they had not
payed.
I guess I can assume that this is not
hi
I just install a NAS 5300 (Cisco Asscess Server) in my network
It is working fine for regular users ..
But the system reject the users with "Simultaneous-Use = 1" en my user file
.
It is working fine with PortMaster 2(PM2) and PortMaster 3(PM3) Lucent
Devices and with snmpget in my radius deam
Back when I still used file-based authentication, I ran a script
on a regular basis that examined the password file and retrieved
the user shell. The script then assigned a user to a particular
UNIX-style group based on the value of the shell. Radiator has
a built-in ability to read from an arbi

Hello everyone,
We use handlers in our radius.cfg such as
Identifier prdigital
SessionDatabase prw-sessiondb
AuthBy prdigital-plat
PostAuthHook file:"/etc/raddb/setSessionTimeout"
AcctLogFileName /var/log/radacct/prdigital/detail
PasswordLogFileN
Hello Ricky -
In the file that you use for the AuthBy FILE (%D/users) you could simply add
those users that you want to lock out like this:
# %d/users
user1 Password = *
..

Hello Ivan -
I will need to see a copy of your configuration file (no secrets) together
with a trace 4 debug from Radiator showing what is going on.
thanks

Hello Andreas -
This is fairly straightforward to implement.
Here is how to do it:
# radius.cfg
AuthPort1645
AcctPort1646
# define Client(s)
Secret mysecret
DupInterval 0
# define AuthBy(s)
Identifier CheckFILE
Filename

Hello Stephen -
Thanks for sending the configuration and accounting output.
You will notice that the Acct-Delay-Time attribute is shown as 0, 5, 10 in
each of the succeeding packets. This indicates that the Cisco has not
received an accounting response and is resending the request.

Hello Hugh & Mike,
I am having a problem with the NASIDENTIFIER and removing entries
from the RADONLINE table.
The NASIDENTIFIER and NASPORT combination would work splendidly if
the NASIDENTIFIER was the string given by the NAS. Inside the RADONLINE
table the NASIDENTIFIER becom

Hi,
Is there a specific reason DefaultSimultaneousUse checks check against
"$usernasme" (rewritten):
# Check the DefaultSimultaneousUse if we did not get a per-user
# one. Warning, dont do it if we were called by a Handler
if (!$did_sim_use
&& $self
&& defined $
Hello Anton -
Then you would use cascaded AuthBy's.
# define AuthBy clauses
Identifier CheckUsers
.
Identifier CheckPasswords
.
# define Realm(s)
AuthByPolicy .
AuthBy .
.
AuthBy CheckUsers
Hello Jesus -
The default DeleteQuery already uses NASIDENTIFIER and NASPORT - why have you
changed it? It seems to me that simply using the correct query will fix the
problem. Note that you can add the USERNAME to the delete query too if you
need to.
