I think the problem is that sometimes people use mschap instead of pap. I've had the problem a couple of times with clients, and i couldn't find why the computer encrypted the username. Because they didn't want to reinstall the dialupsoftware i gave them a script, which worked well. If i had more

Hello Charles - There are two aspects to what you describe below: the first is to recognise the garbage logins (via regexp) and the second is to avoid passing those logins to the SQL session database. For the first part of the problem, I think I would prefer to recognise the offending usernames
