It would be unusual these days to have pkg:ggplot as a dependency.

Dear Sir / Ma'am,
Greetings.
I am but a newbie in R Package development and currently, I am trying to
submit my second package to CRAN and every time after submission, the

I appreciate the welcome! Also - I believe that replying to an email is the

In any event - passing in a cluster context is an interesting idea. I will
think about that. Also, it seems that despite me telling myself to write

Hi Mark,
I'm the maintainer of the 'metan' R package that uses mathjaxr. Please, be
sure you are declaring mathjaxr on 'Imports', not 'Suggest' field. In my
case, some time ago, I received an email from the CRAN team suggesting this
change. Please, let us know if this works!

Hi all,
I'm attempting to submit an update of our eiPack package to CRAN. When I
submitted it, it passed the Windows check with no problem (other than a
note for a change in maintainer), but it failed almost immediately on the
Debian check. The 00install.out file shows that it failed due to an

This NOTE is expected for a new package. It acts as a reminder to THE
CRAN team to look at the package manually.

It's normal and expected, and nothing to worry about. It's a NOTE to ensure
that the package comes from the designated maintainer.

This would apply to your spelling issues.

More important:
Checking should be performed on sources prepared by 'R CMD build'.
So at first prepare the sources via R CMD build and then check yourself
prior to submission following the CRAN policies. And *really* read that.

Hi Younathan,
You can ignore the first note: it simply says that this is a new package.
The second note highlights a few possible problems with your DESCRIPTION

isn't, you can ignore the comment. Then it points out that the
