I set the variable on top of the /service/smtp/run file but I still get:

I have been trying to fix the same behaviour on my centos 6 qmail box
with no luck at all.
All the settings related to LANG, LC_ALL have no effect on this error in
the log.
The good news is that everything is working fine and this error that
shows up in the logs doesn't seem to in
