I was just wondering why qmail-scanner is written in perl? It is a damn
cool program that does exactly what I need it to, but it seems that on other
lists everyones problem with it is that is forks a whole new perl each time

I currently have qmail-scanner-1.16 installed. I wanted to add clamav, so I reran the
configuration script and install qmail-scanner-queue.pl once again.
My mail isn't being delivered now and with the following error message in my maillog:

I installed qmail-scanner 1.16 on a Red Hat 9 system.
When I try to send external or internal email with
attachment, the recipient received the email without
attachment.
Does anyone encounter this?

i am not sure if qmail-scanner has access to those variables yet.
Those env variables are set by qmail-local if i remember correctly so
you would have to be calling something out of a .qmail file to get
those variables.
