i have a large geologic dataset that i want to grid and contour.
There is an irregular zero edge that bounds these data on one side and
a straight bounding area edge on the other sides. If i create an irregular
polygon that encloses these data, is there a way to grid and contour such
that these da
i would like to add a graphic image such as a tiff to an annotation layer
that i can turn off/off. is there any way to paste an image into a text
box or polygon that i have pointing to a location?
in particular, i want to show well log image, pointing to a well on a map

When I am digitizing simple contours, I am finding that after editing and
saving the layer, I end up with duplicate contours, one of which I must
delete or the labels look silly. Any idea why this might be happening?

i have a shapefile with elevation values as digitized contours, for the
same surface, i have well data elevation points for this same surface.
is it possible in QGIS to use the contours and well points to create a grid?

i have attached a csv file of several points with 2 simple text labels to
accompany the x, y positions.
when i import this file, i try to import in DMS decimal format. i specify
column 2 as the x and column 3 as the y. when it imports, it puts the
points in the wrong spot. the x column becomes y

i have two monitors on my machine and use windows 11. for some reason,
when i start up QGIS, the program fills my entire screen on one monitor.
on the other screen, i can see the QGIS tab on the bottom bar, but it will
not allow me to maximize or minimize the program.
