the error message comes from the "GRASS 8 (deprecated plugin)" core
plugin. Are you using it? If you don't need it, you can disable it using
the plugin manager in QGIS.
Anyway, the error message should not be displayed using the latest QGIS
3.42.1 on Windows from OSGeo4W.

I am running the latest release 3.42 and after a fresh QGIS install I get
the following error message on start-up.
"GRASS init error: Problem in GRASS initialization, GRASS provider and
plugin will not work : Module built against version 8.4.0 but trying to use
version 8.4.1. You need to rebuild G
I have just re-installed QGIS using the network installer and I now get this
error message,
"GRASS init error: GRASS was not found in 'C:/OSGeo4W/bin/grass' (GISBASE),
provider and plugin will not work."
Can anyone assist with this?

While running a script in the Python console in QGIS v3.16.10, I intermittently
get a GRASS error pop-up. The pop-up is a small box saying "unfortunately GRASS
7 has stopped working, please close the program". The program doesn't continue
further in execution when this is shown. Has anyone else
