[Qgis-user] New OSGeo Installer - Awesome No Sysadmin

I want to thank the QGIS team for preparing the new OSGeo4W installer that does not require sysadmin privileges. I have tried it on two computers where I did not have sysadmin privileges and it worked. That is so awesome! I can't wait until it gets out of the experimental phase and becomes the defa

Dear Madeline, If you want to start with a point layer representing the center of the circle, then you can use the Shape Tools plugin to create either a geodesic ellipse or donut about the point. If you use the donut, just set the inner radius to 0 and the outer radius to 37.5 meters. You can also

This is a processing algorithm and when you just put a name in the "Output layer" it is going to try and save the file somewhere local to the QGIS installation, but you don't have permission to save it there and it results in an error. Either leave that field set to "[Create temporary layer]" or c

There is a nifty function provided by the "Shape Tools" plugin called "Geodesic measurement layer". It will create a new layer of your polygon layer and measure each segment between nodes in the polygon or measure the total circumference of the polygon. You can select which you want.
