[Qgis-developer] Can't add fields to a shape file?

Today, using a 2.3 OSGeo4W from yesterday, I was attempting to add a field using the field calculator and received a "not supported by the provider" which seemed odd, because T could do this in 2.2. Has anyone else seen something similar? -ramon. ___

I can confirm this with this data. It is further than I get with my datasets. I usually only get to step 2, and the datum is unimportant. It's quite annoying because it means that any dataset I have with a raster, and "on the fly" selected causes qgis-dev to crash. -ramon. - Original Mes
