Any information on what can be done to solve that problem ? Is there any
available patch for KVM ?

Even with qemu-kvm 0.12.5, at the end of the first stage of Windows XP
installation, the virtual machine reboots and the console shows:
"A disk read error occured
Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to restart"
when using libvirt (-drive + -device options).
