As near as I can tell, they haven't done a thing, and weren't the slightest
bit interested in the bug report.
They don't even seem to keep track of reported bugs. If a developer happens
to see a bug report about something he worked on, he might check into it.
But otherwise it gets forgotten in

Xen is not an emulator but a Virtual Machine Monitor using paravirtualization.
Being able to run Xen in a VM allow to build complex test environments
with only one or a few machines, for instance, testing live VM
migration between physical servers.

because, AFAIK, xen doesn't run windows under a linux host
with xen. Using qemu/kqemu, you could (assuming it actually
works) run a windows session under qemu in a xen session.

That would require emulation of an IRIX-supported platform. Not undoable -
others have already gotten firmware as complex as the SGI ARC [1]
firmware to run on other emulators, I think it was mips64emul.

Hi,
So far no news for my problem, so I tested with qvm86 to see if it works...
I compiled qemu 0.7.0 and qvm86 (cvs checkout fresh from today).
I don't use devfs or udev so I did a "mknod qvm86 c 10 62" before
"modprobe qvm86".
I used the exact same image I used for kqemu, and I have a

Hi,
As of the latest cvs update, qemu-system-ppc no longer seems to function
properly. I've tried:
- MacOS X 10.3 used to boot up to a grey screen with the Apple logo -
now shows a black screen at 100% cpu usage.
- Fedora Core development ISO ppc (mac), used to boot up to a certain
point - same s

nice suggestion.
passive mode off: "dir" lasts forever...
passive mode on: "dir" give "connection refused".
any idea?

At some point certainly but right now my priority is full system emulation.

Enhancements over last week's patches:
o The count/compare interrupt will now properly be delivered.

I tried this one, since it looked the easiest.
I installed war-ftpd, which is working well inside the host.
I can now connect from the ftp guest (linux inside qemu), but no file
transfer is possible. Actually, even a "dir" does

Can you make a nightly build with the CVS?
I'm surprised that Qemu does not seem to have an automated nightly
build / regression test / mail-summary-to-developers system. We have
been doing that with Valgrind for a couple of years now and it makes
a big difference,
