ld complains about "Not enough room for program headers"
That's is due the use of SIZEOF_HEADERS in the linker script.
Reproduced with the current cvs on the -user targets.
Since I have no experience about ld script so I didn't try to figure out
myself a fix.
Basic system info:

It complains that the firmware is not able to use APIC (Advanced
Programmable Interrupt Controller) in QEMU, and refuses to even start
installing.

i'm glad of qemu and i found a real valid project.
i would comunicate my difficulties in understanding virtual
networking features.
you should provide some example about:
- how configure qemu with a guest os that has an ssh server.
(i tried using user-net and redirect without success

I'm surprised that Qemu does not seem to have an automated nightly
build / regression test / mail-summary-to-developers system. We have
been doing that with Valgrind for a couple of years now and it makes
