I think that might be some sort of auto-redirect for unregistered users
on some IRC nets (freenode?). Probably need to register the nickname
with nickserv to avoid being bounced to there.

Ah, that's where you end up, I think, if you haven't registered an IRC
password - the #python channel requires you to be an authenticated user.
