We have also many problems compiling Python on AIX 5.3 with same erros, could
be kind enough to tell us ohw to solve the problem ou the right parameters to
compil python.

I'm trying to build Python 2.5.0 on AIX 5.3 using IBM's compiler
(VisualAge C++ Professional / C for AIX Compiler, Version 6). I run
configure and make, but makes fails with undefined symbols. See the
output from configure and make below.
