64-bit machines can still run 32-bit executables, and you may actually be running a 32-bit version of PyMOL, hence the mismatch. Steve -Original Message- From: pymol-users-boun...@lists.sourceforge.net [mailto:pymol-users-boun...@lists.sourceforge.net] On Behalf Of Oganesyan, Vaheh Sent:

The fix on SuSE is to download the readline4.3 compatibility patch, and after installing that the install seems to go just fine: The file is attached, or find at http://rpmfind.net/linux/rpm2html/search.php?query=libreadline.so.4 Make sure to get the compat-readline4-4.3-3.i586.rpm for SuSE 9.3

My new laptop has an ATI FireGLV3200 card, and I am using the fglrx driver. I was having problems with seg faults, but using "set use_display_lists" fixed the problem. I did try using the "set nvidia" option that Warren suggested and it crashed my X-server. Had to do a hard reboot. So far so goo

This would be a nice option to have incorporated into pymol, and is a relatively short amount of code. In the meantime, I have a fortran program that will read a pdb file and calculate these values. Feel free to contact me off-list if you need it. Cheers, Steve -Original Message- From:

[PyMOL] mesh question

Hi everyone- I have two interacting monomers, and have selected the contacting resides between them and drawn a solid surface around these selected residues on one monomer. This worked fine and I had no problem. I would now like to draw a mesh surface around the remaining residues in the monomer
