[PyMOL] independent objects

Dear sir, I was wondering if there was a way to manipulate independent objects in Pymol. For example, is there a way to fix one object while rotating another? This would be useful for manually docking two surfaces, or creating a movie of a ligand binding to its binding site. Thanks, Michael

Hi, I am new to pymol. I was wondering if someone could help me with selecting multiple noncontinuous residues with the same name. For example, I have tried the following: select name1, a/79/ .# to select a single residue, select name2, a/79:85/ ..# to select a continuous string of resid
