There seems to be some significant interest in vector graphics output.
To track this, I created a poll on the PyMOL website
(http://pymol.org/vector_poll) where you can cast your vote on which
format you prefer. Poll results will help advise development efforts.

sort and quickly sharing images is often important (I'm a lone modeller
supporting a number of larger groups).

Hi,
I would be in favor of SVG format, because it is human
readable/editable/scriptable. The other formats are harder to deal with,
without using some external program, and SVG can be converted into either
of them anyway. In addition, SVG is suitable for use on webpages.

+1 for svg. It would be easier to add/remove stuff from them with a
vector drawing program like Inkscape.
Also .svg is also an open format. Not sure about .eps.
