/usr/share/perl5/PVE/Storage/ESXiPlugin.pm?
Or just within "get_manifest" and "get_import_metadata" sub blocks in
ESXiPlugin.pm?

VMWare VM config with root paths such as /var/log/auth.log, could lead to
