Satellite 6.3 has the option for Puppet 4, but I do not yet know the exact
version.
You may have better luck after an upgrade.

many thanks for also thinking on newbies.
Some notes from my side:
- Don't use puppet module generate, use PDK to create new modules, classes and
defines.
- Stop using ERB templates, switch to EPP
