I'm using RedHat 7.3, and I would to allow only www input/output traffic
(no ftp, telnet, ssh, etc.). There are no reason to do that, but I wonna
learn more about firewalls. So I got the answer, I must make
# Default Policy I/O DROP
ipchains -P INPUT DENY
ipchains -P OUTPUT DENY
# Rules
ipc

I'm using RedHat 8.0. After i make
ifconfig eth0 192.168.1.10 netmask 255.255.255.0 up
seems everything to be O.k. But after next boot the configuration is
lost. How can I keep it?

I have configured ppp-conection to Internet (I use Call-by-call) with
intertnet-druid.Then I tried to connect with Kppp-dialer and it has
worked. But next day Kppp-dialer has only successful dialed, I saw then
only "Resolving host".

Hi, all!
I have a big problem:
running install RadHat 8.0 over old partitions i've removed these
inadvertent with fdisk without formating them. On the mashine was RedHat
7.3 and also WinXP.
Is it possible to recovery the old table (with fips perhaps?) or at
least WinXP partition?
