Autologin crashes X when shutting down

Hi, A couple of days ago I set my box to autolog me in everytime I start the system (I use GNOME) This works good. The problem is that when I shut down/restart/log out my laptop (Sony Vaio FX220) crashes. Can anyone verify this? Is there a log file for X sessions? Today I cleared out the autologi

Hi, I had the same exact problem with my laptop. What I did was including ACPI not a as a module but compiled into the kernel, (I checked "Y" option instead of "M") Regarding APM I also included it but passed apm=off to the kernel parameters. After recompiling with these settings I checked the /pr
