I've used RH8.0 for some time applying all patches and
upgrades.
At this time my kernel 2.4.18-26.8.0 and the rest is up
to date.
Had no problems :)
Tried to install Sybase ASE 12.5 after running RPMs had
to reboot...
During boot receiving error:
Starting sshd: /usr/sbin/sshd : Error whil
?

ou obtain.
Then type rpm -ql .rpm and check
the version that appears. If it is newer, you can try
ln -s your_new_sysbase_libkrb5.so.y libkrb5.so.3. Maybe
it can work. If not, check rpm -V
.rpm and your
documentation about Sysbase instalation.

So I assume the libraries that are being looked for do
not really exist.
Check /etc/ld.so.conf to make sure it is correct. Also
libraries are
searched based on the environment variable
LD_LIBRARY_PATH .
