I have an X Server for NT installed but I am unable to display my RH 8.0
Window Manager KDE. What do I have to set to query the ip address and
display the Linux machine remotely?
TIA

When I create a new user, by default the user belongs to a group of the same
name. Why is this? It seems to me that having a group for every single
user is overkill. Id like to have all users belong to a 'users' group and
then more priviledged users belong to an 'admin type group'.
My question
eassurance.

What are the appropriate permissions for the spool dir? Im interested in
allowing any person on the network to print to a SAMBA printer regardless if
they have a linux account or not?

has any one been successful at getting x to come back up after going to
suspend/sleep mode. I don't have a problem hitting ctl+alt+F1 but it would
be nice to just close the thing.
you still need to install other programs and by using
redhat-config-packages it's pretty easy to see what you need. Some time
rpms are just easier than ./configure make make install and a lot less
time consuming. I think it really has to do with what your are used to.
