I don't know why but I haven't been able to play anything on the real
player lately. It's worked fine until now. I haven't downloaded
anything so I don't think it's a compatibility problem or anything like

Not sure what your problems are but did you check if you have the right
packages installed? I chose Japanese as the default Language and have
no problems logging in and having an all Japanese environment though I
hardly ever use it. About open office though, you need to choose the
right Japanese

I've just installed RH8.0 and everything seems to be going fine. I've

Maybe as suggested, you could do some fiddling around and design a
keyboard map to meet your needs, or try adding keyboard maps to the
toolbar. This will place a button at the toolbar which you can click on
to change keyboard maps.
