Hi, I'm thinking of installing Redhat 8 at home. However my colleagues have
found some problems with VGA cards.
The HCL of RH8 does not include GeForce4. Did anybody of you install
GeForce4 (MX or Ti) on a RH8 box?
Thanks for your help

Hi Linux Gurus, soon I'll be installing RH8 and XP on 2 separate hard disks
on one of my machines at home. I would like to configure a start-up menu
(say like in dual boot for 2 windoze oses) for RH8 and XP. How should I
configure things and what things should I be careful of? Sorry but I never
did
Thanks Ronny for your reply. You suggest I'd go for a full 40GB partition
for RH8?

Hi linux gurus, just to check something out because I heard the words:
"kernel for AMD". I'm going to install RH8 on an Athlon XP 2400+. Do I need
something like a kernel for AMD? Personally I don't think so since Intel and
AMD have the same instruction set. Am I wrong somewhere?

I have followed your advice and put the 2 windoze oses on the same hard disk
which is a primary master. First I installed ME on a FAT32 partition the
rmatted my /home partition
when moving back to RH 8 from the RH 8.0.92 Beta{Phoebe}. :-(

Hi all
I installed RH8 on one of my test machines. I have downloaded the source files for
kernel 2.4-19 and patched the kernel to support bridging between the 2 NIC cards of
the machine and firewalling at layer 2, as in the howto: bridge+firewall on
www.tldp.org. My problem is that once the ker
