Applications usually use the lpr or lp commands to print.
that command is actually nowadays a link to the true command.
for cups, the true command is lp.cups
so /usr/bin/lpr is a link to /usr/bin/lpr.cups
Does anybody know what is the gui app/conf.file that deals with this
link?

Hello.
I have just started using psyche, BIG leap from limbo. Much faster!
But I think I must have messed something because i am getting mostly
foot icons on startup screen. My guess is they are not found.
Anyone knows what package has them?
Thank you.
Since you upgraded, something might have gone wrong.
Try uninstalling XFree packages and reinstalling them.

man works like so many editors in Unix, so you can use /window to find
the window word.
However, I tend to use info instead of man, who can open both man and
info pages, and uses 's' or Ctrl+s for searches.

Speaking of killed programs, In the days I started using linux (im not
an old playere here) I started when RedHat was in 4.2.
There were some good games for X (and some text based games) that seem
to be gone.
Yes!
very nice game. And I thought it had died away...
however, it eats a lot of cpu time in my PC. Do you think it would be
gone if I rebuilt or is it something that can be improved?
Thank you.

I am testing an HP CD-Writer+ 7200, and each time I try an write a CD it
has freezed the system.
It might be possible the unit is damaged, since its not mine and someone
gave it to me to test it. But I remember someone having a similar
problem, but I lost that thread. Anyone can help please?
