I am trying to configure a second video card in my box using Xinerama,
and need to get the PCI Bus IDs for the cards. XFree86 -scanpci does
nothing. How can I get the IDs?

How can I change the "Red Hat" Icon from the Gnome main menu? I changed
the GConf key /desktop/gnome/interface/icon_theme to default, but it
didn't change anything. I also looked in /etc/X11/desktop-menus and
~/gnome2/vfolders/applications.vfolder-info but nothing looked

Make sure that you have
127.0.0.1 localhost.localdomain localhost host1.example.net
in the /etc/hosts. I have seen this same behavior after removing the
localhost info, or moving it after the FQDN.
