I just installed RedHat 8 on new hardware and I want to configure Psyche to
work with dial-on-demand-mode to connect to my isp via i4l.
My route -n after booting (without any isdn-device):

After upgrading from Red Hat 8.0 kernel to the new 2.4.20 rawhide kernel,
I now get these warning messages in my syslog:

The dhclient uses dhclient.conf in /etc directory
to get its config. I just installed RH8.0, but I can't find this file. I sniffed
the DHCP packets and it seems like dhclient read a config file from somewhere.

I recompiled my RH 8.0 kernel, 2.4.18-14 to a monolithic 2.4.20 to enable
NTFS read capability and other functionality on the new kernel.
The new kernel works fine though and can read ntfs partitions. However, I am
having problems in mounting the cdrom drive and gets an error message like

I would like to find out, what init script are responsible for starting up
KDM/1204 and sunrpc/111
I have already changed the init state in my /etc/inittab from 5 to 3.
id:3:initdefault:
How KDM/1024 still gets started. Any ideas?
