I've been through "man up2date" three times now and I don't see
anything about registering.

No it was dropped altogether. I believe up2date automatically registers
now, but if you need to force it, use up2date --register .

Yes, that functionality is now part of the up2date pac

No it was dropped altogether. I believe up2date automatically registers
now, but if you need to force it, use up2date --register .
