As to partitioning you don't need shared data partition because you can
get an RPM for kernel mod that allows you to mount an ntfs partition.
Just do two partitions... (the site for ntfs is linux-ntfs.sf.net)

you can partition as you please, but try to keep the filesystem for the
'shared' partit
