Michael, The only device listed in /proc/scsi/scsi is my DVD/CD-RW drive from the ide-scsi emulation driver. I'm not all that sure the real SCSI driver (ncr53c8xx or sym53c8xx_2) is behaving well enough to allow the st driver to work thru it and see the DAT drive. Any diehard device driver gurus
