Title: RE: NIS Server/Client setup The best place to go is the man pages.  If you are looking at doing auto mounted home directories don't forget to look up autofs, exportfs and exports.  Look at /etc/yp.conf, /etc/ypserv.conf, /var/yp/Makefile.  Take a look at the init scripts ypbind
