Well I retract my earlier statement that power managment was totally out
of the picture, after reviewing some settings I went back into bios and
found the lil booger on.. Now it is off, and I have reverted to stock
MGA drivers and doublechecked apmd as being off and not set to start on
boot. Ill se
I think there are some issues with time / this kernel.. or xfree..
I've commented about this, too. I've checked the files mentioned and the
rh-conf-date always dies with:
[root@christiansen root]# redhat-config-date
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "/usr/share/redhat-config-date/red
like wise and random lockups when the monitor / screensaver goes into
standby even though I have all that turned off in bios etc.

daemons that might be doing
