As to partitioning you don't need shared data partition because you can
get an RPM for kernel mod that allows you to mount an ntfs partition.
Just do two partitions... (the site for ntfs is linux-ntfs.sf.net)

(say like in dual boot for 2 windoze oses) for RH8 and XP. How should I
