Did you checked md5 sum after download? If is ok and You burned well the
cd1 is bootable.

downloaded RH 8 (Psyche) release from one of my friend..and i burnt the
CDs.
The problem was,
the CD was not bootable.
Anyway, i used the
boot image /images
