I'm triying to set up a webmail service with squirrelmail.

from my humble point of view it seems to be a bug, the same thing hapens
to my machine, but i think is something related with the db + rhnsd
daemon
the only solution so far is to reboot, is not elegant but works

Then install the 9i oracle release 2
check www.gurulabs.com they have a pretty nice howto and startup scripts
for that release..
