I'm curious if there is any clear cut preference in choosing
RSA or DSA keys.
I have been using DSA since this guarantees a connection under
protocol version 2. There is no DSA support under protocol version 1.
Also, I seem to recall (but now can't find) that there was some question

Where is the best place for iptables help?
Is there a mailing list? I've tried the one listed at
netfilter.org, but that seems to be Tango Uniform (dead).
Setting default policy doesn't seem to work with "REJECT"
or "DENY". "ACCEPT" or "DROP" seem to work ok.

A developer here is trying to find the correct libs (iostreams) to use
to link with headers found in /usr/include/g++-3 . Can someone point me
to the right libs or RPM for those libs?
Thanks,

Here's one way NOT to do it.

I've tried several times to get on the netfilter mailing list, but the
confirmation never works. Is that mailing list still active?
Is this or another place the best place for iptables questions?
Thanks,

I'm working in an environment where management is overly sensitive to
changes. We've been developing and QA'ing on a 8.0 install basically
straight out of the box. Our fielded systems will have a minimum install
with very few extras. Certainly SSH will need to be updated. Probably
several others.

What is the best way to update many servers at customer sites?
Let say for example that a new SSH package comes out. Since this is
security related, we probably DO want to get this update on all
of our servers in customer sites. Isn't there something better

This is probably the wrong place to ask, hopefully someone
can point me to the right place.
I am new to making RPMs. I've read over the "maximum RPM" guide
and don't understand how (or if possible) to do a simple binary-only
RPM. The guide seems to imply that you must do a build in order to

I have damn near everything installed.
I copied the binary from a 7.3 machine. It locked fine but would not

Any ideas appreciated. It worked fine until about a week ago.
Only things installed were done through up2date.

Since my last run of up2date a few days ago (last update was before
Christmas). Anyone else seeing this? Any clues what to look for?

FYI,
Last week I posted a msg to the list asking what happened to ctags
since it was AWOL after a clean install of 8.0 . I finally got around to
searching for it today and found it in the XEmacs package. I don't use
emacs, but did have it installed anyway on past versions.
Certainly not where on

Yesterday I did a clean install (not upgrade) of 8.0 over my previous
7.3. Now I can't display X-Windows apps running on a remote machine,
even after using "xhost +remotemachine" locally and "export
DISPLAY=localmachine:0" on the remote machine.
I'm guessing it has something to do with iptables,
