Hi,
So, suddenly I can't see any .csv files for importing into pspp. Neither on
my laptop nor work computer.
I go to Import delimited text data; click on the folder where the .csv file
is, but all folders come up empty. It doesn't matter if I choose to look at
text files, text (.txt) files or Com

Hi,
I'm working on merging datafiles with Windows version PSPPIRE.exe
0.7.9-g656fc4 and am having the following issues:
1) When I use GET FILE in my syntax, the file with the data I want comes
up, but it is named Datafile1 instead of the actual file name of what I
opened--thus I have to overwrite
Thanks for the clarification, Ben--and for sending the report.

I used the SELECT IF command instead and that worked. Shouldn't I get an
error message though when I used DO IF instead of the program crashing?

Hi again,
PSPP crashes when I try to run this particular DO IF command:
DO IF RSbeh=1 or ERbeh=1.
LIST RespID RSbeh MeanRS ERbeh MeanER.
END IF.
I am able to do other different DO IF commands without the program
crashing. I realize this may not be the correct syntax--I've tried reading

Hi,
Is there an option so that the output will display both the variable name
and label? Right now I only get the label. I checked the manual and
archives and didn't see anything.
Thanks,
Jill

Hi,
I've tried the following DO IF commands without success (I'm able to run
the means correctly, but do not get a sysmis for those where CoeMis is > 2):
DO IF CoeMis=0 or CoeMis=1 or CoeMis=2.
COMPUTE MeanCoe2 = SUM(OE15, OE16, OE17, OE18, OE19, OE20, OE21)/(7-CoeMis).
ELSE MeanCoe2=sysmis.
END

Hi,
When running very basic syntax (frequencies, variable labels, etc.), pspp
is consistently crashing--it seems to do okay for awhile if I just run 2 or
3 commands at a time, but if I run 6 or 7 at once--it crashes. Even if I do
2-3 at a time it eventually crashes. I get one of a two error messag
Hi,
I've posted a couple of times to the list serv (and always gotten prompt
and helpful replies--thank you!), but I'm a newbie and don't completely
understand the process--please forgive my ignorance. I have a few questions:
1) I've subscribed to both pspp-users and Old Nabble, but I'm not clear
t find anything
about it on pspp users info page.
Thanks for your help--I appreciate the availability of pspp!
Best,
Jill
