When I try this on GNU/Linux it imports ok. The only issue is that the
accented characters don't appear properly. We need to investigate that.

It did get through. Normally I'd have replied already but I'm
very busy and probably won't have time for PSPP until next month.
Personally, I'd want time to be spent on building PSPP up as an SPSS clone
as much as possible, before diverting to improvements... just my opinion.
