Did you recently change the user that runs VFP (Run as Administrator)?
By default the administrator user doesn't see the mappings of the logged in
user.

Windows Update won't have changed anything. They would not break permissions
like that. It'll be AV or something.

Tracy, no I didn't. It just stopped working one day and the only thing I
recall is the Windows Update but I figured it was strange that that
would cause it.
