I know we have had some form of this poem submitted to Profox on many previous
years (I think by Ted) so here is a version I found.
Merry Xmas everyone
The computers were whirring; they never do stop.
The power was on and the temperature right,
in hopes that the input would feed back that night.
That's delightful. I hadn't seen that version before. Santa is a
mischievous elf, after all.

'Twas the night before crisis, and all through the house,
Not a program was working, not even a browse.
The programmers were wrung out, too mindless to care,
Knowing chances of shipping hadn't a prayer.
The users were nestled all snug in their beds,
While visions of inquiries danced in their heads
Pretty sure there's no more support for 32bit CPUs.
