In all my years of work in VFP - I've almost never needed to use the Label type Form. Here at my day job - we implemented certain labels - but using the Report Form. In addition to Dave's suggestion, you may want to put an acceptable default value in the data, assuming there is one, because the return .F. in the valid will prevent that control from being exited. Which means the user won't be able to close the form or even move to any other data entry field o
