Obviously storing passwords in plain text is stupid. Storing them
encrypted is good, but didn't someone say about storing the checksum or
hash value is best? Searching the ProFox archives...

I have an application that uses a keyboard wedge style scanner. They
installed a new computer that only has USB import and I am looking for a
new scanner. Does anyone have a suggestion for a USB bar code scanner
at a reasonable price?

Paul: It's a wedge which plugs into the PS2 keyboard port which doesn't
exist on the new computer. It basically acts as a second keyboard.
It's basically useless now.
