I wouldn't be so sure about uTorrent being free forever. Sometime
developers place a fish hook hidden inside the freeware bait, and the
hook is timed to be set at the right moment. Once the hook is set the
user is locked into the product and pays the tax.

Can anybody explain what are the differences between the varchar and the
character field types? I would also appreciate examples of use on commands like
SEEK and LOCATE and even in SELECT SQL sentences.
Is varchar better than character? Should I change my tables to the varchar
type? Why?
TIA

Is there an api call that will return the current drive letter link list
created by subst.exe? I'm rewriting a
nightmarish concoction of layers of batch file for dos, 4dos, and 4nt which

Lew,
I culled this out of some code I use.
This isn't an api, but it works well for me in vfp.
hope it helps.

That looks pretty cool. I take it that the Wscript run (as opposed to the vfp
run) call prevents the FileToStr
from ever firing too soon... yes?

Hello? Hello? Is this thing on?
No one here has ever been at a conference with me? I've been drinking

I don't recall how I got there, but it works without showing any DOS/Cmd
boxes.
I would imaging vfp run would also work.
I cut it out of a generic RunDosCommand() function I use.
Which gives me the most functionality I want with the minimum of fuss.

Or for the command line challenged, click on the Add/Remove Software
menu option. When the Add/Remove Software GUI Dialog appears, do a
search on azureus. When azureus appear in the display window, click on
the check box adjacent to it, and then click on the [Apply] button.

Hi Leland!
