I'm writing an io intensive parse/update program that has to run non-stop 24/7. I've only been able to keep it running for 3 - 4 hrs due to c++ buffer overrun problems. That's the thing that reminds me of the old memory leak problems: the app needs to switch many objects into & out of activity rapidly, eg read 10 bytes from the data feed, find the object to handle the bytes etc...
